Nautical Wedding Favors

Nautical Wedding Favors

I contemplated a lot of careers before I settled down, but I never thought I might get involved in selling nautical wedding favors. After all, it seemed like such a niche market. I was pretty surprised to stumble into it, and stumble into it I did. I was working for an Asian wholesaler, selling party favors and cheap toys of various sorts. Basically, pretty plastic trinkets and stuff like that. One day I got a wedding contract, and was asked to find a little more than I normally offered. Although there were a few nautical wedding favors in the catalog, there really wasn't much along that line. We had combs shaped like seashells, driftwood wind chimes and things like that, but we didn't have anything quite classy enough for what they were looking for.

Nonetheless, I promised to get them a nautical wedding favor supply fit for the God Triton himself. I knew some regional people who sold tropical wedding favors of various sorts. A lot of them were made out of simple seashells, either carved into elaborate patterns or else strung together as jewelery or wind chimes. I managed to cobble together enough for an entire wedding party and made a fortune. Apparently, although it was easy to find the stuff piecemeal, it was hard to get it in bulk. There are so many people who are into beach weddings in the area, that I saw a market there and went for it. I started collecting and selling more nautical wedding favors and the cash really started to flow in. Soon we were making money hand over fist. I really could not even keep up with the demand.

It actually became a problem for a while. I had some wedding party planners as clients who were constantly in need of nautical wedding favors. I knew that, if I could not keep up with the demand, they would look for someone who could. In the end, I decided to start producing my own line. I started it as a cottage industry, paying friends and family to put together nautical wedding favors out of seashells and driftwood. Soon, I had the methods down and started running a pretty efficient business. I hired outside employees to put together toy ships wheels, nautical compasses, and things like that. It was months before I really have enough supply for all my clients, and I did lose a few in the meantime, but eventually I got it going.
